Meet Dr. Courtney Favaloro

Dr. Courtney Favaloro Tran is a board-certified pediatric dentist who joined the White Rock Pediatric Dental team in August of 2024. Dr. Favaloro, or “Dr. Fav” as her patients call her, was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended high school at The Kinkaid School. She then moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend college at Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!). While at TCU, she majored in neuroscience and graduated with upper division honors. She was very involved on campus and was even on the 2017 TCU Homecoming Court!

Dr. Favaloro attended dental school at Texas A&M (formerly Baylor) College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. While in dental school, Dr. Favaloro served as class president for all four years and was involved in numerous other school organizations. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honors society for students in the top 10% of their class.

For her pediatric dental residency, Dr. Favaloro matched to the prestigious program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, which was ranked the #1 children’s hospital in the nation by The US News Report. While at Cincinnati Children’s, Dr. Favaloro treated thousands of patients ranging from healthy children to some of the most medically fragile patients in not just the country, but the world. She was also able to work with numerous children with autism spectrum disorder and other sensory and behavioral conditions. She received excellent training in an operating room setting, treating hundreds of children under general anesthesia who benefited from more advanced care.

Dr. Favaloro and her husband, Eric Tran, live in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas and have loved being a part of the community. In her spare time, Dr. Favaloro enjoys cooking, baking, exploring new restaurants, and listening to live music. Dr. Favaloro is a third-generation dentist, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and uncle. She is a yearly participant in her fantasy football league with dental school friends, which she takes very seriously!

Dr. Favaloro always strives to help her patients (and their parents!) feel encouraged, comforted, and uplifted at each dental appointment. She loves to have fun, is energetic, and values the importance of connecting with her patients. Dr. Favaloro is passionate about working with patients with special health care needs. She is a Clinical Director for the Special Smiles program through the Special Olympics. Dr. Favaloro also speaks Spanish and is comfortable having dental discussions with those who are Spanish-speaking only. Dr. Favaloro is thrilled to be part of such a wonderful team at White Rock Pediatric Dental!
